the shortest scholarship guide you ever need
Last Updated April 12, 2025article
I wrote this because many people have been calling and DM-ing me asking, "How did you get into the Pertamina Foundation scholarship and Djarum scholarship?" (though I didn't accept Djarum's offer since there's a rule stating "students can't have double funding").
Here's the guide:
- Be mindful of whatever you're doing right now β whether you're an academic achiever, researcher, activist, athlete, or hustler, be mindful.
- Focus on giving rather than receiving β If you're passionate about research, activism, clubs or any other field, put your heart into giving value through that work. Don't just focus on what you can get from it.
That's it β that's the whole guide. Trust me. Here's a short story: I had an hour-long interview with Djarum (longer than other participants) because I knew myself and what I do. The interview turned into a casual conversation. We talked about how I managed an organization (I was the student association chairman at the time) and ended up discussing cybersecurity and why my country struggles with it π¬. It was a really fun interview. If you're not doing anything meaningful right now, you need to start β find something that excites you.
